Why choose IOPC for your DUI evaluation and treatment?  Easy.  Our counselors are great and our group schedule is extremely flexible compared to other programs in the area.  This is one of the many reasons clients continue to choose IOPC.  We have 2 group sessions per day: Monday-Thursday and Saturday mornings.  Clients can choose which days they attend and there is no penalty for not attending certain days or times, we leave that up to you.  We understand persons schedules are busy and often unpredictable.

DUI Program Details

The first step in the process is completing an SOS Evaluation.  At the time of your appointment you will be asked to bring the following 3 items:

    1. Copy of DUI Tickets

    2. Arresting Officers Sworn Report (will have BAC reading)

3.Driving Abstract (a copy can be obtained from local drivers  license facility for approx $12.00)

The Evaluation will cover your alcohol and drug history as well as the events surrounding your DUI arrest.  The Evaluation will take approximately 1.5 hours.  Once completed the Evaluation will have recommended one of 4 levels of care: Minimal, Moderate, Significant or High Risk.

You will then contact a Licensed Treatment Provider to arrange for an Intake Assessment and enrollment in Education and/or Group Treatment.

Once accepted into a education/treatment program you will be asked to attend group sessions that last from 2.5-3 hours in duration. During these sessions a professional substance abuse counselor will lead the groups.  Group topics typically include discussion about: the effects of alcohol and drugs on driving performance, substance abuse, alcoholism, negative consequences surround substance use, problem acceptance, breaking through denial, changing negative behavior, relapse prevention, etc…..
